On another subject, Mehul has officially opened a thread in the B&S forum, where he posts his opinions about major gameplay issues. The currently covered issues include the War and Hostility Meters, Mutual War and War ending. To fortify his opinions, Mehul brings some fascinating real-life events as examples. ;-)

Mehul in response: "We're still looking at some non-US alternatives. Unfortunately, we don't like to offer these kinds of things, but we really have no choice in current advertising economy. Hopefully we'll find an alternative within the next few days... We tried to make the bonus a big enough incentive for people to use it, but not large enough to be crippling if you don't/can't."

(1) The game has been opened for new players on a limited basis. This is being done on an experimental basis to see how it goes.

(2) All kingdoms under 13 players will be merged with another kingdom to create a kingdom of 25 players. All relations for the old kingdom will automatically be cancelled. While this will ensure no kingdoms of 12 or fewer players, there will still be kingdoms of 13-24 players that we hope will slowly fill up based on change #1.

More details will be posted as available. The merger is likely to happen some time this afternoon or evening.
