Third Utopia Server?

To help deal with the amount of traffic on the Utopia servers, we have recently ordered a new server to be added to the Swirve.com network. The details of how and when it will be implemented are still being determined, but in terms of processing power, this will be our most powerful server, by far.

We expect the server to arrive within about 5-10 business days. From there, we're going to experiment with some new techniques on the software side to see if we can tweak performance. If that is successful, then those software upgrades will be slowly implemented throughout the rest of the Swirve Network.

At this time, we're unsure if the new server will simply replace one of the current servers or be an add-on, allowing us to run three Utopia servers with stricter player limits. Most likely, it will be the former, but we're still looking at what our options are. More will be posted here as information is available.
